Human Resources Generalist

Landpoint is seeking an outgoing, intelligent, experienced, and personable HR Generalist to work closely with the HR Director and cross functional team to support all HR and recruiting functions for Landpoint and its regional divisions.

Below is an outline of expected duties as well as required qualifications and benefits.

Duties and Expectations

  • Provide support to field employees to ensure an open line of communication is maintained and to assist Operations and Project Managers in addressing HR/recruitment issues, needs, and/or concerns as they arise.
  • Assist with HR and recruitment administrative tasks including, but not limited to; records management, record audits, PTO tracking, payroll assistance, onboarding and offboarding.
  • Preparing a variety of reports and other materials.
  • Interview, screen, evaluate, hire, and train employees.
  • Assist and implement recruiting strategies to identify qualified candidates through various recruiting tools.
  • Evaluate candidates' strengths compared with clients' requirements by, for example: evaluating, screening, and interviewing the candidate.
  • Negotiate wage rates and other terms and conditions of employment with candidates, and gain commitment from candidates for current and future job requirements.
  • Complete extensive necessary pre-employment processes including drug testing, reference checks, background tests and document verification.
  • Preparing a variety of reports and other materials.
  • Participate in recruiting events and targeted recruiting strategies.
  • Assist with employee retention efforts and initiatives.
  • Ensures a positive candidate and employee experience.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of applicable employment laws.
  • Assistance with relocating employees.
  • Re-evaluation of employees and termination support. 


  • A BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-5 years HR and/or recruiting experience – Experience in land survey, A/E/C or similar industry highly preferred.
  • Possess strong written, oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Have strong skills in Microsoft Office products and be able to navigate standard HR organizational programs.
  • Able to thrive in a fast paced, varied environment.
  • Self-starter, self-motivated; capable of staying focused without close supervision and make informed decisions when needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple functions.
  • Detail oriented.
  • This position will office out of our Fort Worth, TX office and support all our other offices. Regional and overnight travel may be required.
